dear tumblr,

looking back can be painful, even if it’s interesting. it makes you think of what could be, and not what happened, if they’re bad memories. it makes you remember the pain, and the hurt that you felt during those times.

i experienced that feeling tonight when i looked through old texts with a person whose relationship with me failed. it made me sad when i looked through the laughs and the jokes, and the happiness we shared. it made me sad when i saw the hard ending that brought it to a close, and it makes me sad that the relationship is gone now.

bad experiences are hard enough to go through the first time without forcing yourself to relive them a second time. of course, there are the fun and nice memories, and those are fun to go through. but bad memories aren’t worth your time. don’t live with regrets, and don’t look back; it only hurts you.

so to all the people that i loved and had a good relationship with, i’d like to get to know you again. maybe we can talk more, or even see each other again. but if the chance of a relationship are gone, i can make you one promise: if you forget me i will do my best to forget you.
